As a Senior Consultant in PwC’s Energy & Climate practice, Prateek led business development for various clients and co-authored thought leadership. He developed a turnaround strategy for a coal mine, increasing NPV by 43%, and prepared a 5-year coal procurement strategy for a power generation company. Prateek managed 15,000 Crore INR coal procurement bid, improved mineral auction process, and evaluated sustainability options for abandoned mine sites. He also led automation initiatives, improving efficiency and was recogonised with the “Above and Beyond - Individual Award.”

As Site Head at Orica, Prateek enhanced operating margins by strategically positioning products, increasing market share, and implementing SAP S/4HANA for improved reporting and forecasting. He standardized blasting practices, reduced mine cycle, and introduced an electronic blasting system to mitigate vibration risks. Additionally, Prateek spearheaded the "Education for All" campaign, providing educational support to plant workers and their families.

At Ambuja Cements, Prateek spearheaded mine digitalization by designing a Mines Monitoring System. He improved operational efficiency by optimizing HEMM cycle times and increasing drill rate, resulting in significant cost savings. Prateek introduced a Blast ID system to analyze blast performance and developed a skill matrix for the mining department, enhancing training and operational insights. He also contributed to budget preparation and cost reporting, aligning resources with financial goals.
